About Me

Hi, I’m Bola

Travel is my therapy. I almost never travel alone. I travel with my family and, sometimes, with friends too—because life is meant to be enjoyed with the people we love.

Between being a full-time mom and an online educator, I don’t always get much time to unwind. But when I do, I travel. I’ll be honest: I don’t have a burning desire to see every corner of the world. What I love is the experience—the luxury of being pampered, having someone else take care of the little details, discovering life beyond what is familiar, and, most importantly, not having to worry about what we’re cooking for dinner!😅

That is often why I’m particular about the hotels I choose. Wherever I am in the world, I want the hotel experience to be part of the journey, not just a place to sleep.

Why I started This Blog

If I haven’t mentioned it already, I’m Nigerian, and I travel with a Nigerian passport. If you know what that means, you already understand that travelling can sometimes come with a rather rigorous visa process. With access to only a fraction of the world’s countries without a visa, we’re talking about 44 countries out of the standard 195 countries of the world (and some of these are with visa-on-arrival), planning an international trip from Nigeria can require considerably more effort. And that’s only one part of the story.

Over time, I’ve seen how complicated travel can become—from confusing visa requirements and ever-changing fees to the scramble for appointment dates and, unfortunately, questionable practices by some travel agents. There’s also the case of visa misuse, which sometimes leads to serious travel consequences for both the guilty and the innocent.

With all these hurdles, it’s easy to wonder if travelling is even worth it. I will answer with one of my favourite quotes:

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”

That is the spirit behind this blog.

I want to make travel a little easier, more accessible, and less intimidating by sharing the things I’ve learned along the way—the experiences, the mistakes, the discoveries, and the little details I wish someone had shared with me earlier.

Here You'll Find

  • Visa information that can save you time, money, and unnecessary stress.
  • Practical travel tips that could save you from expensive mistakes.
  • Guidance on applying for visas the right way.
  • Reliable travel agents and services, where they genuinely add value.

Basically, I’m clearing the path so you can have an easier journey than I did.
So, if you’ve been waiting for the perfect reason to see more of the world, perhaps this is it.

I encourage you to travel, despite the hurdles—or, at the very least, come along with me through this blog. 😉
Either way, I’ll see you “on” the next chapter.
